However, Yuki soon learns that Deus is not a figment of his imagination but real when Deus makes him a participant in a battle royale with eleven others. |

9:30 a.m. | Destination Moon (1950; English; not rated) | After their latest rocket fails, Dr. Charles Cargraves and retired General Thayer have to start over again. This time, Gen. Thayer approaches Jim Barnes, the head of his own aviation construction firms to help build a rocket that will take them to the moon. Together they gather the captains of industry and all pledge to support the goals of having the United States be the first to put a man on the moon. |
11:00 a.m. | Haibane Renmei (episodes 1-4; 2002; Japanese with English subtitles; rated 14+) | Rakka is born from a large cocoon into Old Home, greeted by a group of young women with small wings on their backs and shining halos above their heads. Soon Rakka’s own wings grow, a halo is placed on her head and she is told that she must work in the nearby town of Grie. She soon realizes that the town and the entire world they live in are confined behind the Wall, a tall, impenetrable wall that none except the mysterious Toga are allowed to leave. |

2:00 p.m. | Destroy All Planets (1968; dubbed in English; not rated) | Originally released in Japan as Gamera vs. Viras. A spaceship containing an expedition force from Planet Viras approaches Earth, with its occupants discussing their intentions to occupy the planet for its atmospheric nitrogen. Gamera intervenes and destroys it, but before the ship is destroyed, the aliens broadcast a warning to their world, stating that Gamera is their enemy. |

Double Exposure Envoy will be at MileHiCon demoing games all weekend.
In addition, Doc Cheetem will be demoing his newer games, Brigade Brawl, about volunteer fire brigades in 1860s Philadelphia, Escape the Crimps, where the players are drunken Sailors trying to get home without getting Shanghaied, and A Cure for What Ails You, a competitive healing game set in late 1800s New Orleans. Who knew that historical games could be so hysterical?
On Friday evening, John Eakins will be running Salem 1692 from 7 to 9 pm. Saturday, he will be running Bristol 1350 from Noon to 2 pm, Tortuga 1667 from 2 to 4 pm, Deadwood 1876 from 4 to 6 pm, and Hollywood 1947 from 7 to 9 pm.
For the night owls, He will also be running Blood on the Clock Tower from 9 pm to Midnight on both Friday and Saturday nights.
In addition, USS Pioneer will be hosting their annual Poker Tournament on Friday from 9 pm to Midnight and Saturday from 7 pm to 11 pm.
As always, we will have a library of games available to check out and play in the gaming area throughout the weekend. So stop by between panels and find your next new favorite game.
