Virtual Art Show
What that means for our Artists and Participants
Greetings and Salutations to our wonderful Artists!
I hope you are coping alright with this year so far. I know it’s been hard for everyone, every time we seem to settle down to some sort of consistency if not “normal” the next change hits us. It’s been the worst roller coaster year in a while and we’re only half way through it. If you haven’t heard yet, our convention this year is going online. We will actually be the only Sci-Fi con in Colorado to go virtual instead of cancelling. We will miss seeing all you fabulous people in person, so very much. However, we care about your health more. Hopefully this is temporary and we’ll all be hugging and admiring each other’s art in person next year.
An option we’d love to explore is pre recorded demonstration videos. It will allow you to bring your art to more of our members and show off your skills. Let us know if you’re interested and we can discuss video formats and other issues. Also we have a lot more space this year since we are dealing with a virtual instead of a physical show.
There will still be an art show. We’d love you to participate. There will not be an art auction this year. Due to the requirements of going virtual this year, we’ve got a different price structure. Each registered artist will get their own page for our members to peruse. It will include one main picture and a collection of ten more to showcase your art style or prime pieces. There will be space for a biography, a haiku, or your casually stunning observations about the price of property on Mars if you wish. There will also be space for links to your online sales site (not provided by the convention) as well as other informative links about you and your art.
So if you would like to join us this year please use the link below
We would be thrilled to have you. This year we have the space for everyone. So if you've considered joining us, please do. If you have any questions please contact us at ArtShow@MileHiCon.org. Thank you so much and we hope to see you in the convention.
